Blog Spotlight *3

The first guy who got his journal at milkblogs was Jake. He is quite an interesting person with some strange habits for you to discover. Sadly he’s too lazy to think of a few words about his blog so you have to check it out for yourself to see if you care enough to follow him through the (maybe not so?) tough life of a bisexual Aussie boy. Just don’t ask about his hair straightener, it’s a weak spot. So, enter Jake’s Home if you dare.

milkblogs

I’m excited to announce one of our new projects, more to come :)

We were talking in the milkchat tonight about how it would be nice to have a safe place for all the Gay Youth Bloggers out there to host their blogs. A place they can rely on and trust in, where they won’t get kicked for random reasons like it happens at services like Blogger. Since we have way more web space on the milboys server than we need… I thought we could just create such a place right here, right now! :D

…is the name of my new, personal blog :) I’ve switched to a self-hosted blog since Tumblr seems to get a bit nervous about photos of teenage boys lately (while naked 14 year old girls and gore photos are still fine mind you). I’ll use it to post some stuff that doesn’t really fit in here (e.g. because a boy on a photo might be too innocent to be shown in the kinda “erotic” context here) and to collect all the stuff I stumble upon… books, music, animes, obscure titbits and articles. Some (very few) posts are only visible for registered users. Don’t bother to register if you’re looking for kinky stuff ‘tho, you won’t find any :p And the song above? Don’t ask. Spring is 20’s revival time ;o)

Sexting

StickyDrama has an article about the so called “sexting”, the practise of teenagers making nude photos of themselves with their cell phones and sending them to others, which we have covered a few months ago. The article can be found here.

Part of the comic value here is who is ending up in court: The ones who took the pictures of themselves.  Teens are facing child pornography charges on multiple levels and threats of being labeled a sex offender for the rest of their lives.  Legally that would bar the teenager from being around schools and even playgrounds — pretty fucking funny right?  No.

Let’s get a bit more personal: Darian, whose cute voice you can hear in one his tumblecasts above, might be the first person ever who I would call a real friend even if I don’t know him in real life. I’m pretty reluctant to call people friends, especially when I met them online. But he’s special in more than one way. He’s actually the perfect example of the of image of teenage boys I try to show people who grow up into a state of a certain arrogance, who think teenage boys are baffled kids who have no idea about life. Well, Darian would kick your ass out of that thought pattern ;) He already realised more important things about life than many people ever will, regardless of their age.

But besides that he’s just a great guy. He makes me giggle, he inspires me with awe, he boosts my creativity, he makes me just happy and the fact that boys like him and his boyfriend are growing up in times like ours makes me a bit more optimistic about our future. Yeah, that’s sound pretty emo and it might be hard to comprehend if you never talked to him. So I should give this post some justification for you guys huh? xD OK, he has a neat little Tumblelog, let’s just pretend I posted this to tell you about it ;o)

Give me a Break

Just today three blogs in the blogroll were deleted by Google/Blogger/Blogspot (however you wanna call them). I’m so tired of removing links of blogs hosted there every frickin day. That’s why I’ve decided to stop adding new blogs hosted at Blogger for now. Existing blogs will stay in the blogroll. There are plenty of alternatives to Blogger so if you really care about your new blog (which means you don’t want it to be killed within a few days) check them out, kthxbye.

Milk Chat

We were thinking about an IRC channel for milkboys but that would be a lot of work. So until I have decided about this: Have some fun in our Shiny TinyChat :) You should be able to meet me there in the evening (US time) most days.

Visit Josh Posh

There are some other blogs in the tube for the spotlight but since I’m still waiting for the self description of the blog I want to feature next I’ll just annoy you with another self promo ;p This is my personal micro blog. Micro because it’s more like a twitter for little media titbits than a “real” blog. I post just everything beautiful, odd and interesting I stumble upon while exploring the web. From articles, art, movie and game trailers to straight forward porn ;) The blog is hosted at tumblr and if you like this kind of blog you should sign up there… most other blogs there are doing the same as I do, you can spend hours and hours there seeing odd & cool things.

Visit ount Candy

I thought it might be nice to give some love to the scene and feature an “ephebophilic” blog here from time to time. Selfish as I am I’ll start with the little side project of milkboys. Count Candy is made by me and a friend of mine. He posts the boys and girls and I take care of the candy and the… obscure stuff. Our goal is to bring together what makes us happy: Everything sweet and strange.  You won’t find much text there, it’s pretty straight forward: You get a small surprise every day. Don’t like your sweets today? Well, come back tomorrow!

destroyer.pdf

I heard from many people that they would love to read Destroyer but don’t want other people to see it laying next to their bed or causing attention at postal inspections in surveillance states like the USA. Your prayer was heard :) Issue 6 of Destroyer (more issues will follow hopefully) is available as a digital version in PDF format  at I Love Mags. Head over there for more details. Destroyer is more an art project that you should hold in your hands rather than reading it at your PC but this should be a good alternative for people who have to deal with ephebophobia (hey, I just made up this word lol) all over the world.

Free Candy!

Count Candy is back! I looked for a new home for Count Candy and here we go, it’s back and better than ever. I’ll be the Co-Editor from now on by the way ;) The Count will post the boys and – oh, the daringness – girls while I’ll take care of the more strange posts. Go and get a sweet surprise every day!
