In actuality I hang out with Alex when he's in Toronto. Clearly these people have chosen to use the worst pic imaginable to compare his photoshopped pix with. It's pretty lame. Even in reality face to face Alex is a pretty good looking individual. If you want sensationalism I guess using an average real life example of him was insufficient, pretty pathetic.

Good answer. This was already posted on the Milkboys blog some time ago - there's no need to do that again (actually, it looks quite hateful and stereotypical gay to mock the looks of other guys).

Maybe I missed the point of these posts but I thought they were supposed to be about obviously over-photoshopped pictures. Of course this picture went through photoshop (like almost everything out there) but it is not overly done and it doesn't look stupid. I am not a fan of him at all and I am not saying anything to help him. The picture you show ''without retouching'' is the only one of him like that to ever come out on the internet. I have seen him in real life, not that I know him but we happened to go to the same school, and I can tell you that he doesn't look like the unretouched picture at all. I might be biased because I am photography student and big retoucher myself but this is just my personal opinion. Didn't want to be a bitch about it (but I know it looks like that).

i think his piercings were beautiful.

anyways, his name is alex evans, and unless he reinserted them, this is an old picture and he no longer has the snakebite piercings. he even admitted to outgrowing them.

i used to be a "fan" of his until i realized that he was completely vapid and airheaded. still, he was very beautiful...

What difference does it really make? I think it is great that the average person can now do what professional photographers outsource to have done all the time with an individual's photo.

Just think how much better the school yearbooks could actually look if we just let people be pretty.

of course there will still be the devil horns and pitchforks from the marker on the principle as some traditions will never die.

He has metal things wedged in his face :(

And those people who are commenting are exactly the reason teens want to go off and photoshop till they drop.
It's not their fault though. I do think - personal preferences in consideration obviously - there is something thing as natural beauty. The whole soft regular featured nice eyed guys hold a universal appeal that can't be helped. They simply are nice too look at :D And I suppose you can't blame someone for trying to emulate that.

Disclaimer: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder not everyone adheres to the conventional idea of what beauty is but on a GENERAL level we all tend to like similarish things maybe. :P
