Erik (recent past) was forever defending me to his too-rigid friends - "There are all sorts of people in the world". He knew - alone, we would play chess (he was excellent). He was strong, I was weak but it was he that drained the tension of "acting straight in public" by kicking in doors... As to why: I have yet to come up with any explanation for that mystery. Piercings do it for me... make them unattractive, I mean. Just look at this image as a good example: fine without the piercings, disgusting and bizarre with that superfluous, ugly disfiguration. My opinion, anyway.
