I had a similar reaction to his video: don’t give up your day job. But I have to admit that he’s recording without all the backup musicians and sound engineering magic that could make him sound so much better. I give him kudos for putting himself out there in the raw, as it were. Frankly, it’s not my style and I won’t be looking to buy his album. Cute? I’ll give you that!

when he was on that tv show, there was this sound on his voice, like a rough screaming, I dont know but it was that what captured me, besides his look obviosly :) anyway I did not hear it on this performance

I didn’t like it at first, but it most definitely grows on you. This sort of a brooding mood and song fit nicely together, and I found myself enjoying the show. And I was betting that his smile was inevitably going to be incredible. And, it was.

Honestly, I’ve listened to it at least ten times now, and I have to completely disagree with almost everyone else. I think he has a great voice. Sure, it’s kinda different sounding, but I think he’s an excellent singer. Oh, and very cute.

I don’t think his voice sounded bad at all. Very raw, but still quite good.
For some reason, I find a Swedish accent incredibly sexy (and his looks aren’t bad either!).

This is really a cute kid singing slightly off key with all his heart. But what if he had a voice coach? There is some qualities in his voice that do peek through. I am in the finial stages of writing a coming of age novel. If it were to become a movie, this kid would have to have the role of my leading character. The title of my book is Melones. This kid could easily play the character of Shayne. I would like to know his name. can anyone help me? Does he have a manager or an agent.

Thanks again Josh. I went on line and watched some of his videos and now I am a real fan. He is so much more than just a cute face. He is full of energy and spontaneous. I find him to be a breath of fresh air and a refreshing change from the music seen in the U.S. He really should try acting if he hasn’t already.
