We seem to see more an adult's interpretation, adult directing, and adult ideals, than what an actual 10 year-old would feel, or act like ..especially in Mexico. (admittedly only from the trailer) it seems to me someone is just trying to ride the wave of 'Blossoming of Massimo' - which in that case feels real, and adding a 'undead' plot to ensure sales...
