I can quite agree with you there Hulro, his friend should teach him to avoid such inflammatory terms, they're terrible no matter who uses them.
I wouldn't say Season 2 was completely devoid of a message, btw. I thought the episode "The Story of Gangstalicious pt 2" was both funny and also poignient in dealing with how people view and react to outwardly gay people. There were a couple other episodes I could mention, but it hardly seems worth it to argue over the validity of a cartoon. I will say that I am somewhat sad that the final two episodes of the series didn't air. I had the opportunity to watch them on YouTube before they were yanked and they were probably the most meaningful of the season. Shame they weren't aired.

Season 2 had no messages, just stereotypes for the sake of hilarity.
A Youtube user, AsaTheComic, gave his thoughts on the frequent use of it by certain people. His explanation was rather simple, but the opposite of what you (I've concluded, given what you've typed) propose. I agree.
You have a point, regarding their speech, but if you believed I meant the camera was in the wrong (knowingly) that is incorrect. The African-American (or Belizean) boy is at fault, he is to help his friend know that that word is extremely uncool. His use of the word, regardless of his intentions, can get him, or even his children, in trouble. I don't feel I need to mention the black friend should expel the word from his vocabulary as well, for his friend's sake.
Basically, when I hear the word in this tone I'm reminded of the people that want me dead because of color of my flesh, some of them paid to protect me.

Huh, I enjoyed season 2, I thought "attack of the killer kung-fu wolf bitch" was a hilarious episode.
At any rate, I should point out first and foremost that I agree that the n-word should go the way of the dodo, but seeing as some of its chief users are now the very people it was once used against, I'm somewhat unsympathetic to hear them use it.
I would also suggest that not very many African-Americans who use the n-word have given it as much etymological thought as you have. The fact is, heavy users of ebonics drop consonnants and sometimes entire syllables off of words all over the place, and I would guess that they aren't doing it in an effort to establish new words or nomenclature. Our stupid, potentially racist camera-man here simply doesn't speak the vernacular, as it were.
Its somewhat unfair to the ignorant or the uninitiated to draw such fine lines between racist and homebody when employing such volatile terms like the n-word, makes it far to easy to unintentionally come off as a racist. Ultimately, that's part of the reason I'd like to see that word fall into disuse. I don't believe the camera opperator intended offense, and while it was still a dumb thing to say, I don't think you should take too much offense at it. Ultimately, his friend in the video there didn't seem too concerned about it, after all. The cock on his head is another story though <_<

UHip, I'm guessing you're not from a predominately African-American neighborhood. It's half the pronunciation of the word, and half the tone. Our cameraman here, has used both the derogatory pronunciation and tone. When "we" use it, the pronunciation cuts the 'r' and the tones are in reference to "friend" "dude" or "stranger". That aside, I believe this "word", regardless of who says it and how, needs to die.
And Boondocks season 2 sucks.

Hey Genesis Childr..... I bought a copy on Amazon.com. Once you get passed the frontal nudity (not nearly enough close-ups) the movie is rather boring.
