Lesbian and gay and sexual health groups from Jamaica, Zimbabwe and Egypt have been excluded from a major international conference on HIV/AIDS organised by the United Nations General Assembly. The UN meeting is intended to review progress in the fight against AIDS. Representatives of the governments of those three countries, all of which are openly homophobic, complained about the presence of the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe (GALZ), and the Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (J-FLAG).

Nach Beschwerden von Ägypten, Jamaika und Simbabwe werden drei Homo-Gruppen aus einer Konferenz von UN AIDS ausgeschlossen.     I smell religious-influenced bigotry. Another reason why the world would operate better withouth the grappling arms of religion.

    Can ANYONE tell me why not even ONE european country stood up and said…if they are not allowed, we here are missing the whole point of the matter and walk away out of protest followed by others, and so, forcing the counselpresident to accept everyone!.
    It has been said before, the U.N. is a corrupt moneywaisting hippocritical bunch of scared little men that r only there to let things be as they are , so they can enjoy the free lunches, plane/rides, hotels,bonusses and incentives, hookers, etc.
    Ah well, name one big company or organisation wich aint hippocritti or corrupt…

    I suppose many politicians, particularly those at the UN, are not looking stand up to homophobia, particularly idiots who are likely to stomp on you in the street or hang gay teens.
