One of my all time heroes.
I had to make one of these stupid pieces of artwork in Art class while I was an exchange student in Germany – without a computer. It sucked. Probably because I hate having to do art myself so much.
Great list of heroes you have Josh!
You might consider adding:
HAKIM BEY
WILLIAM BURROUGHS
IRVING ROSENTHAL
There are others, but would require qualification and heroes should be strictly unqualified.
add Fred Holland Day:

(now that America has a new president, the slogan “don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” comes to your mind again – it was coined by someone, who’s mentor was Fred Holland Day).
Nicola Tesla – cool. Not sure I agree about everyone on this list however, overall, definitely a thought provoking group.
@Fulcher. Are you talking about Theodore C. Sorensen? or JKF?

Thanks everyone, keep suggesting :)
maybe Frank wedekind, at least for this funny poem:
Behauptung
Ob die Menschheit mich begrabe,
Häuptlings, bei lebendigem Leib,
Gilt mir doch ein schlanker Knabe
Schöner als ein dickes Weib.
Dies Geständnis auszusprechen
Konnt ich mich nicht mehr entbrechen,
Wenn auch alle alten Huren
Wütend aus dem Häuschen fuhren.
Jeder preist mit stolzem Munde
Schöne Weiber, Pferde, Hunde,
Schöne Blumen, schöne Blätter,
Schöne Gegend, schönes Wetter.
Ja, man darf sich unterwinden,
Sogar Schweine schön zu finden,
Wenn man viel dafür bezahlt hat,
Weil sie Liebermann gemalt hat.
An der Schönheit eines Knaben
Darf sich keine Seele laben,
Alle Welt bekreuzigt sich.
Mensch, wie bist du lächerlich!
Ha! Awesome! Thanks :D
