Super video. I was never a homophobe butI had to pretend to be for many years, and yes I was afraid of being ‘found out’. This bit of film should be compulsory showing in all GB secondary schools. Perhaps the ‘test’ should be compulsory too. I’d happily help to administer it!!!
Interesting video. the next step in the research might be the triggers for homophobic violence. I think the mob mentality plays a big role, it only takes one homophobe to insight a group. If a member of the group were to suggest that it was wrong, surely the group would turn on them.
The strange thing is that, in real life, I’ve had two very good friends and a third person that I got on very well with who were definitely homophobes. I was very strongly attracted to one of the friends: he would not accept that I was gay and we remained friends. I also find homophobic behaviour rather arousing. It shows masculinity, which I find attractive.

Steegle, just come out to everyone all at once. The trick is to act like it is no big deal even if inside you feel like it is huge. If you downplay it it makes it easier for everyone around you. Pretend it is a bandaid. dont think about it just do it. When you do, you will give some other kids around you the courage to do the same. Trust me, I am 25 and have been out since I was 15. I am not at all effeminate and have several friends who came out after meeting me because they were relieved to meet a guy who acted so nonchalant about being gay. I dont act any straighter or gayer since coming out. Many people who meet me are surprised that I am gay because I do not meet their preconceived notions of a homosexual.
I assure you, the sooner you come out the happier you will be about it!!!! do it while you are so young so you don’t have to pretend!

It’s been pretty obvious to me for years that anyone who was homophobic was either reprsessing their own homosexuality or incredibly insecure. Why no one’s bothered to study this is simply an indication of societal atitudes towards homosexuality.
This is one of your most informative post ever! Of course, we all know that position who have a strong opposition to something is secretly battling some underlying desires. However, the reason for the experiment was that some straight dudes had sex with a girl who later turned out to be a man. Guess what, I would be upset, upset to the point of murder I don’t know, about this!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am an open minded man, from my period and i always believe that i should try anything that goes through my mind at list ones … and so i did it ones and i seen that boys not relay fits me in any circumstance …. but i have friends that at younger age were horrifying at the idea and now they are gay :) …. so i am very shore that this test is true :)
I feel the same way Steegle does. I am pro-homosexual and play it straight because I dont want to deal with all the bullshit that gets thrown in your face when you come out. There are a few of my friends who ive told in my high school but they’re all girls and I doubt any of them will say anything.
However, I do find this very interesting that the people who are the most actively violent and brazen towards gays are in reality the most insecure.
i wouldn’t say all these guys were actually either gay or bisexual, althought i believe we are all gay at different levels, i just think that theres a lot of people that gets aroused just by seing something sexually related, specially men, i mean, watching a hard penis its only a hardon away from imagining what to do with it, and how it would feel.
the important is the respect between people. more important we are bi gay ou hetero, more important all we are human and live in peace and friendship

then i’m sure there would be no reason for them to be in denial, hate themselves, hide themselves, & lash out at people who are gay.
