Give me a Break

Just today three blogs in the blogroll were deleted by Google/Blogger/Blogspot (however you wanna call them). I’m so tired of removing links of blogs hosted there every frickin day. That’s why I’ve decided to stop adding new blogs hosted at Blogger for now. Existing blogs will stay in the blogroll. There are plenty of alternatives to Blogger so if you really care about your new blog (which means you don’t want it to be killed within a few days) check them out, kthxbye.

is it only blogs with nude guys/porn on them, or are blogsites, with no nudity also being removed?

  Both. Sites with nude guys are being removed by Blogger and random sites, regardless of the content like the blog of the great author Dennis Cooper, are beeing removed to an issue with the user database at Blogger which they refuse to solve. That’s what happens every other day: Someone else tries to register a blog at Blogger with the name of an existing blog and Blogger gives the account to the new user and killes the whole existing blog because the database thought the account name is still free.

I have changed over to wordpress before I lose my blog and it’s contents.

Just wondering how to host without paying like too much, also dont wanna do it with a urm local company as they wil think i am a bit strange.. Also i cant pay with credit card as i dont have one…. i only get like 30 people a day.. but i still enjoy blogging.

Yeah, I use their software but I don’t use their hosting, that’s the difference ;) WordPress.com is the hosted service which I can’t really recommend while I use the software from WordPress.org which is a great piece of software but you have to host it on your own server.

As for self-hosting: We’re using nakedhosting.com, they have unlimited traffic and space and are fine with blogs like milkboys.

Just make sure you find a host that allows adult content. Don’t just sign up with the cheapest one. Dreamhost is another good one.

They (being wordpress) probably aren’t liberal either…but I think they are a better option than blogger. I’ll give them a go. One thing I have done is backed up all my content…so anything happens I can start again without ripping my hair out.

I have had blogs removed by blogspot . There were no nudes. All pics were shirtless eg speedos. From the emails I received i got the impression that there are moral weirdos who have got nothing better to do than make trouble.

Hello,
my blog was also deleted by blogger. But that was not enough, they also kill my google account without a warning. Then you have a google E Mail Address that is also deleted and your friends can’t contact you.

@ Starboy, you only understand when google turns without a warning the lights off.
