That’s a powerful video. It’s a shame that hatred, bigotry and descrimination are OK if they’re church sponsored….well, they’re not OK – under any circumstance. It seems that stupidity is the building block of the universe. If a girl sucks my dick it’s OK – if a guy does, we’re both going to hell. Go figure. >J<

First off, first thing I noticed was the music. It’s Sigur Ros! They’re one of my all time favorite bands, and I think it’s obvious why it was one of their songs chosen; they’re strong feelings for gay equality, and such. But, the video by itself was intense. The argument between those two women about gay pride and the church… Intense and emotionally provoking.

Hey, thank you for posting my video! I really appreciate it! I hope it inspires people. It was supposed to be a simple camping trip video of my friends and I, and when I got home to edit it I heard the horrible hate speech on the news about gay marriage, so I thought I’d combine the hateful voices with the happy, smiling gay guys in my video. :) I’m glad you liked it. Thank you again for posting it! Can I ask how you managed to make it downloadable, though?

Hey Matthew,
I used a Firefox extension called NetVideoHunter. And just in case if you wonder why I didn’t just use the Vimeo Player: Some people had problems with it when I used it the last times and using my own player also gives me the advantage of being able to chose a nice preview picture for the video ;)

I turned off the sound half way through and all was well. :)
God, it is seriously disgusting now days to think that people STILL have such ideas in their heads about hating gay people, calling it a sin, committing violent acts against homosexual couples and people.
I really wish with all my heart and soul every time I see hate expressed for gay people that the real karma that exists in the world will come down upon those people and show them how tremendously wrong they are.

This video is awesome! I love the video. I think it shows how much work still has to be done. I’m gay (obviously) and I love my self. I love sr8 people. I love gay people. I love. That’s the main point. The people fighting in the background don’t love. If they did they wouldn’t be saying such things.
“Do every thing out of love, for Jesus Christ your saviour is love.” Some people don’t believe in God, but I personally do. He would not put me on this world to fail, nor any of you. Love is truth.

lovely video, i still can’t figure why there’s so many people thinking that gay is evil or even wrong, who told them i want to destroy everything a family represents?, who told them i want to destroy any society and or culture?, why am i supposed to be hated when i have done no harm to anyone? why do they think i have no right to exist? i am a person and i deserve to be respected because i respect people, but i can’t respect those who hate me, that kind of people makes me feel unhappy, sadly there’s plenty of them in the world and they’re dangerous because they’re ignorant, they take the bible as written by god when it was actualy written by religious leaders that wanted to control everyone’s way of life and also wanted to gather more and more power for themselves, i always pray for gos to open their eyes and let them see that we are not children eating monsters, we’re just people like them we are humans and we must be respected as humans …. have a good day

Josh, Very powerful video – The background commentary, at least for me, is best reason I won’t go back to the States to retire and live – being gay here in Germany may not be easy at times but I am accepted along with my young partner – I wouldn’t be if I were back in Washington DC working for our Government. Its funny how the people in this video sounded so educated, so intelligent, but being against homosexuality is the most unintelligent thing ever. so, two people of the same sex are attracted to eachother, love eachother, and then what happens? nothing happens, its not hurting anybody, i think there are people out there who just want to hate something with a passion, and those people are uncivilised, and even barbaric, no matter smart they may sound. if they were really smart they would know that we should just be positive and try to love everything, and all kinds of love. this was truly a beautiful video.

this post has made me feel very happy and mad at the same time, if that makes sense, the last thing that was said in the video was very true. it makes me proud to be gay, but makes me angry that i have to stay “in the closet” because of military service, i hope that one of these days i can be more proud of my sexuality than i am right now. yes the video made me think that deep haha

I am proud to be gay! We should not have to be scared of anything or anyone! We are just like every other person in this world! We are not different! We should be allowed the same rights! If God thinks that being gay is a sin, then He should not have put the thought into our minds! He should have never let us become gay! God made all of us, and God has a purpose for all of us! There is a reason that we are all gay, and that is because God made it so.

An excellent video despite the overtones against gay people. I do not regard homosexuality as a sin. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but first and foremost I believe in the Trinity – God, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
I believe that man is made in the image of God. If this is so then he created, black, Jew, straight, gay, lesbien and all other denominations. There are so many versions of the Bible but not one church has the whole truth and nothing but the truth scenario of his teachings.
For those of you who are interested, I am Mormon who happens to be Gay, but I cannot fellow in the teachings of Jospeh Smith because of my sexuality. I didn’t choose to be gay, I was born this way.
The main things is that I accept everybody’s point of view as long as they do not DICTATE to me what I can or cannot do. It is my life and if I condemn for all eternity there is ONLY one person who do that, Jesus Christ.
