Karl from our beloved Destroyer Magazine, was kind enough to let me know about a short Q&A with Johan Palm on the website of QX, Sweden’s largest Gay Magazine. They asked all remaining contenders of Sweden’s Idol Show if they’re gay, if they ever kissed a man et cetera. That might be relevant for stalkers like us but Karl made an interesting comment about that… “I hate it when teenagers are asked about their sexuality. It’s so lutheran.” – Very true. If we would stop asking they could eventually stop being concerned about stuff like that. Maybe it would be finally possible for them to just live, try things out and start caring about people instead of genders.

That’s so true - what Karl said. It’s not the world’s business to know if you’re gay or not.

Yea I didn’t really understand that either. Maybe google mis-translated it- or it is some expression that is “lost in translation”.

Maybe google got the whole thing wrong, and he actually said “I am out and proud gay, and want to give a quick shout out to milkboys!!” :-) One can hope…

Rightly so, I’m 51 years old and I’ve always wondered why people need to know who (or what) I’m fu**ing. Why do they care, what does it matter? I surely don’t wanna know what my butcher does in his bedroom. No seriously, don’t tell me I really don’t wanna know! Anyway his pork-chops won’t be better or worse if he got a d?ck up his ass from his boyfriend the night before, got beaten into submission by his wife or even if he did his pigs first. Why should anyone care, unless they want sex with him themselves. Why has our life to be so much influenced by the one thing no heterosexual will ever feel?
Unfair to Lutherians, oh my god ‘Geo’ where have you been? They (and many other religious groups influenced by Luther) have been unfair to gay people for centuries, they are a very repressive bunch and did never care for those that ‘fell’. Don’t take them into protection! They always knew how to take care of themselves.

Well labels never meant much. Unless you’re being beaten up in an alley or on the subway. Labels are life, and death, but they also mean nothing.
People are many things in their lives. The labels ’should’ only be used as a temporary means of immediate cultural identification.

lepoof, the Church of Sweden allows the blessing of same-sex unions and the ordination of gay and lesbian priests, and is considering proposals to allow the solemnization of same-sex marriages. I realize it hasn’t always been like this (”for centuries”), but it is now.
I just couldn’t sit back and watch Lutherans get tarred with the same brush. I used to go to a very queer-positive Lutheran church! Still, I can forgive much from him, since he is very cute!

I do not get it. We want to be accepted as x yet want not to be ID’d as x. In a monoculture there would be no such q as to x or not x, since all would already “know”, i.e., assume it. But we are not in a monoculture! And it is the GAY question rather than any other sexual question that gets asked and THAT is the problem. Why not ask the suppposedly heterosexual a sexual issue question? Why assume anything there? Such as of a peculiarity of the heterosexual life such as if it was an arranged marriage and how long was it before trhere was successful sexual intercourse with the previously unknown bride and what was the groom’s sex about before marriage and after a time of it … and, yes, I AM interested.

Don’t wanna be accepted, wanna be left alone! Why do they bother US is what I worries me. We won’t harm them, won’t even come near them if we can help it. They don’t need to push their narrow believes on us or tell us how WRONG we are. Personally I don’t except them, so why should they accept me? No matter what sub-culture they belong to they can have it, but not over my back. This is not the place to defend any of them I think. I’m not into racists either, don’t care for them, don’t need them around. They just need to stay F*ckn’ away from me. That’s all I ask.

I’m not sure why I’m all inspired enough to bother commenting. I don’t find the boy particularly awesome, but I guess some other folks got me thinking. When it comes right down to it, who the hell cares? At best, he’s going to be your wank fantasy and it won’t matter who he is in the first place. Fantasies of straight boys aren’t any better or worse than fantasies about gay boys unless you’re a douche who dreams about ‘cuddling with him for evar and evar’ which is so far out of the realm of possibility that you should likely be on some meds anyway.
Half the world’s crazy, especially from an American perspective, stems from people trying to live up to labels and stereotypes instead of just pursuing their own personal joy. I’m not particularly gay per se, but some days, I want nothing more than to suck some dick. I’m not particularly straight, but some days I’ll find a woman that just trips my trigger more than words can really express.
But really, in the long and short run, who cares? Enjoy the fantasy.
And should you ever be blessed to actually run into one of these guys, don’t burden them with bullshit. Just love them for whatever they happen to want to be today. That, to me, is what friends are.
And for those that need a little extra incentive for their wank material, the easiest way to get into a cute boys pants is to truly give a shit about them. If I had a nickel for every cute boy that’s told me “I’d never consider going gay for anyone else,” I’d have a shit load of nickels. Not to toot my own horn, but I’d bet this kid is no different and no drugs or alcohol would ever even be needed. Sometimes being a good man that people aren’t afraid to look up to is all it takes.

I just whont to say that
Johan Palm did go to the next weeks show again :)
but hi was in the 3 bottem ones that have less vouts
there are now only 6 idol left in the show.
In the after show program we culd se a talk betwin
