I know quite a few people were too scared to buy a magazine about teenage boys considering all the hysteria going on around the globe. Well, (imagine Professor Farnsworth’ voice here) good news, everyone! At least 4 issues of the 9 published so far are now available as a PDF download for just € 4,99! Pro tip: You don’t wanna miss Destroyer 7! Trust me ;o) And I don’t even mean the interview with me in it ;p Apropos: The numbers in that interview are not really accurate anymore, just if you wonder. We have 17.000 daily visitors by now and the server costs $ 280 per month. But back to topic: Go, get ‘em all!

It’s funny (well mostly sad) that those who have fears about purchasing the magazine and having it shipped through the mail (especially in the US, not certain about other countries laws about trafficking in obscenity) but even downloading doesn’t change much if your fear is having material that may be considered obscene since downloading is still considered distribution in the U.S. I know more people would probably fear how it makes them look rather than if its obscene because it seems clear that it’s not but with the whole Protect Act and that comic book collector court case who knows what will be considered obscene next.
But no one has to know you’re downloading it – something that is harder to obtain with physical goods.
In the UK it is illegal to import an “indecent” item – any kind of item: print, painting, drawing, (written) book, wood carving, even (presumably) a marrow root that bears an unusually close resemblance to a penis. Having the material posted to you is importing it. I am quite certain that Destroyer would be considered indecent by Customs fascists here in the UK. So downloading a PDF version is a way of bypassing that risk since, unless the pictures in Destroyer are considered to be cp, there is no offence of possessing an indecent item.
Unfortunately, I know for a fact that Destroyer does occasionally contain images that English police would consider to be cp. Whether the images *REALLY ARE* cp is another question entirely, but if you get discovered with such image, you run the risk of being arrested, charged and appearing in court while with the very real possibility of being locked up and labelled as a danger to children.
Destroyer was checked by Swedish, German and Czech (I think) police and none of them were having a problem with it.
Oh because Sweden, German and Czech police are the pinnacle of law enforcement Josh, your forgetting the Australian who got prosecuted for possessing child porn- a cartoon picture of Bart Simpson naked.
I don’t think it would be a good call to get the magazine shipped here. none the less, if only I had someone out there that would buy the eMag for me….
;)
Jake, there are no nude pictures of minors in Destroyer.
Nudity is not required for a picture to be considered CP. Anything can be CP if big brother decides it is.
Here they call pictures of underage teens or kids in speedos “Child Exploitation Material” and its just as bad as CP
The powers that be have decided that “child porn” is too jolly a term to be used for child porn, and have redefined all of it as “child abuse images” or “child exploitation images”.
They say children (under 18s!) cannot consent to be in porn, so their appearance in it is exploitation.
Exploitation can amount to simply being photographed, by the looks of things
As Leonidas said “Nudity is not required for a picture to be considered CP”
I’m not sure of the exact situation in the US, but in the UK it is definitely true that nudity is NOT required for an image to be considered indecent. It is also true that images WITH nudity are not automatically indecent. In the UK, if an image of a child contains “indecency”, the image is an “indecent photograph of a child”, and this is an incredibly low standard for CP.
I know this to be a 100% accurate description of the state of the law in England because I know of a prosecution for an image that appeared in Destroyer #3, which showed 2 (incredibly cute!) boys wearing only Y-front underwear. Both boys are standing in front of a mirror, and one of them is taking the photograph using a camera that he is looking into, the other boy is looking into the mirror. The image was all over the blogs at one time, and is still available on some blogs… I could include a link, but if I am found guilty in regard to that image, it will mean I would also be guilty of distributing child porn. They boys are apparently emo boys, and a link can be found from Milkboys (which, an English court might conclude, means Milkboys distributes child porn :o)
I gave up on mail order magazines. I ordered XY some years ago. Everything was peachy till they starting mailing it in a black wrapper. Someone always tore open the wrapper to see what porno mag was inside. (XY wasn’t porn) I started to miss a few mailings here and there. Either they had a few cheap “sisters” working the mail room pinching my mags, or, some right wing self righteous fascist felt it was it’s duty to stop this smut. I asked the magazine why make it look like a porno mag being delivered? Are they ashamed? They said many of their customers requested it. Closeted I guess? But wrapping it in black drew more attention to the object? Missing so many issues, and not getting retribution for them, I dropped the subscription. Having delivery problems from with inside the US was bad enough. I would never try a subscription from over seas.
Offering the magazine in PDF is a great idea. But why in two different resolution’s? Who wants a low pixel magazine? National Geo does not offer a black and white version to lower costs? Speaking of cost? Why charge two more EURO for the high rez version? Doesn’t cost any more to create than the low quality one?
What was it you liked so much in D7, Josh? The reactions to each issue are always so amazingly different …
I would like to find a torrented version of the pdf’s…. but I dont think people would be willing to give them away.
Yeah XY is easy to get in canada, most gay shops carry it. Destroyer, no luck. I’d buy em all if i knew where to get them here.

Actually, I had to cut Glad Day Bookshop from the list of Destroyer resellers. I haven’t heard from them in some time, it might be that they don’t receive my e-mails.
How come different posters are talking about a “XY” magazine. Is there censorship already on milkboys or is it a protection for advertising clients?
What are you talking about? oO There were no comments removed.
Maybe Kritzan is taking “XY” as a variable name rather than the real name of XY magazine? (XY is nowhere near as good as Destroyer!)
Oh. Yeah. I guess xD
hehehe its funny 3 of the 4 magazine have photos that i take and one is in the cover XD
This one? ^^
Exatcly!
I hope soon Karl put some other of my pics in the cover ;P
